Mechwarrior online how do i gain xp

Historical XP is XP that a variant of mech gained before the skill tree update, it can be used on any mech of that variant.

When you unlock a node for the first time you need 1 SP.. SO if you got 4, xp at end of a match, then you would also be getting gxp with the xp plus whatever c-bills earned.. That and the x2 to all the basics once you got the 3 useful elite skills and the 1 useless one All the same..

I still haven't used all my refunded GSP points i got with the patch.. Please tell me you did read the guide to this that is pinned to the top of this forum, yes? At first you will only be able to use the Basic Tier.

Later, once you max out the Basic Tier for 3 variants of the same mech, you can move on to the Advanced stuff. Thre reason you may want to consider this is Global XP is used to purchase pilot Modules that you can use on any mech.

I believe this is the expected result, unfortunately I cannot confirm at this point. So there you have it, choose your first mech carefully as you will have to spend a lot of time with it and its variants if you want to get the master level of your mech.

If you're not worried about that, you can still make basic purchases and buy any types of mech you want. Thankfully the purchases are fairly minor, but between skilled players, they can make a difference.

Once I do, I will make a Tutorial video on it like I have for the other features of the game. If you are interested, you can check them out HERE. You may at least want to check out the MechLab one as that is how you will purchase your first mech.

I hope you've found this useful, please feel free to ask if there's anything else that needs clearing up.

We have some very helpful people here in the MWO community. I recommend it because once you gain all the xp upgrades for that mech, you will need to buy 2 more Hunchbacks and purchase their upgrades to progress to the next Skill set. Theres atleast 3 workable hunch variants to do this with, 4SP, 4P and 4J. How much XP you will receive depends upon your performance in the match. XP is amongst others awarded for: "kills", "kill assists", "spotting assists", "destroying components" and various other criterias.

If you have a good game, it is possible to earn over XP without a premium account. Most games will average around - XP however. With the accumulated XP it is then possible to click at "Pilot Lab" and unlock various skills under the tab "Mech Trees". All of those skills grant certain bonuses for the appropriate Mech chassis. There are 3 different tiers of skill sets:. Basic-Skills are available straight away and can be unlocked as soon as you have gathered the necessary XP. You must first own the Mech for the unlocks to become available.

Before Elite-Skills become available, you must first unlock the Basic-Skills on an additional 2 variants of the same chassis.

Example: In order to raise your Catapult K2 skills to Elite, you would need to purchase an additional two different Catapult variants. You must then gather enough XP in each chassis in order to unlock the Basic-Skills, which when completed will make the Elite-Skills available to unlock. As an additional bonus for completing all the Elite-Skills on one variant, all effects of the Basic-Skills on said variant will be doubled.

Master-Skills are available for unlock when you have completed all the Elite-Skills on 3 variants of the same chassis , or alternatively 3 Mechs of the same weight class.
